We're seeking an action-oriented engineer with intellectual curiosity who is excited challenge themself testing spaceflight hardware.  The position is with the team testing the flight mechanisms of both our Payload and Space Vehicle programs.  This position will require test procedure writing, test execution, hands-on work with the hardware in a cleanroom environment, and multiple other test engineering responsibilities.  It is also expected that this position will involve writing software scripts to support test execution, and interaction with our EGSE and software tools that support automated testing.

 

As an Eng I / Eng II, you will work closely with, and be mentored by, experts in the field.  You may have the opportunity to lead significant test activities on complex, critical program mechanisms and to lead a small to mid-size team.  From there, we have growth opportunities in multiple directions – we’d love to hear about your personal career goals.

What You'll Do:

 

• Work in a fast-paced team environment assisting to integrate and test spaceflight hardware.
• Work in cleanroom and lab environments to verify the hardware meets requirements and characterize / calibrate its performance.
• Write, review, update, and execute test procedures and test scripts.
• Gain a detailed understanding of spacecraft mechanisms and their control electronics.
• Support the mechanisms at the payload and space vehicle levels of integration.
• Prepare technical documentation and give presentations to peers and management.
• Collaborate with system and subsystem engineers, mission assurance, technicians, and other program personnel.
• Use test and measurement equipment to test and troubleshoot spaceflight hardware.
• Maintain test logs and generate test reports.

• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
