Short Description

This is a non-remote, in-office position located in Fort Wayne, IN.

 Lead the Accounts Payable department functions while advising teammates and ensuring performance standards are being met.

Basic Job Functions:

• Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards.
• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values.
• Oversee the productivity and quality of department work ensuring timeliness of payments, accuracy, and efficiency. 
• Provide feedback during the performance appraisal process and recommend appropriate pay adjustments for department.
• Assist with the recruitment, hiring, orientation and training of new department teammates.
• Proactively assists in training and coordination of duties for department.
• Collaborate with other departments and regions to support business objectives.
• Provide back up and support to cover other teammates as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting
• At least 2 or more years accounts payable and/or accounting experience in the construction industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years’ experience leading teams.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience interfacing with vendors and providing world class customer service.
• Intermediate computer skills required in Microsoft office products.
