The Staff Accountant II reports to the Senior Manager, Payer Controller and will assist with invoicing Availity Payer customers, performing collections duties for Payer customers, account reconciliation as well as closing entries for month end close.

To be qualified for this position you:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting; able to understand debits and credits
• Must have revenue account experience; primary focus will be on invoicing
• Must have strong excel experience as well as experience working in an accounting system
• Possess excellent written and verbal skills, and is comfortable speaking with all levels of management, both in and outside of the Finance department
• Exceptional level of detail orientation and has strong follow up skills
   

You will set yourself apart with:

• Healthcare Technology experience
• Previous experience with Zuora, Salesforce and/or Workday
• Exceptional in creating pivot tables and v-lookups
• Strong technical acumen

You will be:

• Invoicing payer/health plan customers
• Performing collections when needed from those customers
• Leading account reconciliation activities
• Setting up new customers in our accounting system
• Interpreting new amendments/contracts to understand from a billing perspective
• Monitoring aging invoices
• Working with customer procurement teams to get the requisite PO for invoicing
• Filing sales and use tax returns by state
• Assisting with the compilation of audit support for the year-end financial audit
