Catering Staff

The Catering Staff is responsible for assisting in the execution of casual picnics and largescale catered corporate events. Work is performed under the general direction of the Catering Supervisor and Park Managers, with some latitude for independent judgment.

 Pay Rate:  $16.00 per hour

 Major Duties/Specific Tasks

• Assist with pre-event set-up, including cleaning and setting tables, arranging proper trash receptacles, setting up buffet tables and equipment, and loading drink coolers.
• Cleaning a wide range of catering equipment.
• Assist in the preparation of hot and cold menu items.
• Meet and interact with guests in friendly and professional manner.
• Adhere to proper health code compliance and sanitation standards throughout the event.
• Communicate effectively and consistently with the Catering Supervisor.
• Adhere to event timelines.
• Monitor food quantities and restock buffet lines, drink coolers, and dispose of trash throughout the meal service and event
• Drive catering vans if required.
• Assist with post-event clean-up.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

 Minimum Qualifications

• Preferred ages 18 or over.
• Working knowledge or ability to learn area of food and beverage service.
• Ability to work outside in various temperatures and weather conditions.
• Ability to work within multiple park locations.
• Oral communication and listening skills.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team setting.
• Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including ability to lift between 25-50 pounds, stooping, and bending.
• Exhibit good communication and customer service skills.
• Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays.
• Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Possession of or ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications, including but not limited to ServSafe and TIPs Alcohol certifications preferred.
