Job Description

dWe are seeking a highly motivated Engineering intern to develop Dry Etch Process and Data Analysis Method/Modeling. Dry Etch Process is a vacuum plasma technology widely used in various industries. In combination to hard mask design, it removes thin film materials of selected areas to form patterned thin film structures designed for achieving electrical/magnetic/optical functions. The Intern can expect the following opportunities.

1. To gain true industry experience: learning of vacuum technologies, process automation and control, and hands-on experience on production dry-etch tool systems.
2. To apply your academic knowledge and expertise in physics, chemistry, data science, and math on DOE processing, data analysis, and complex manufacture lines.
3. To integrate digital technology, new data analysis technique, and large-scale production to achieve process optimization, quality improvement, and cost reduction. 
4. To produce solution-driven summary and to present objective-oriented progress

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Currently enrolled Master or PhD candidate in Physics, Chemistry or ChemE, Materials Science, ME, EE, or related quantitative/engineering fields.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability.
• Energetic, creative, and tackle new projects and ideas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED:

• Knowledge and hands-on experience on vacuum deposition and ion plasma etching.
• Familiar with numerical analysis, imaging processing, and AI/ML.
• Experience with JMP Scripting Language (JSL).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
