Summary of Job Duties:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic student worker to support our Girls Who Code camp as a co-instructor for web design/computer science based projects during they camp. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop organizational, communication, and leadership skills while contributing to impactful programs. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
Must have a high school diploma;
Good customer service skills;
Must be able to work with minors and respond to emergency issues on campus.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Prior experience working in summer camps/programs;
Experience working with middle and/or high school students;
Some college.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the Program Director(s) on the content of the instructional program and related activities;
Provide a teaching plan or class outline, including handouts, for your classes that adhere to the guiding principles of the GWC;
Work with other instructors to ensure integrated teaching;
Report problems and seek advice from the Camp Director(s) when needed;
Report all difficulties related to health immediately to a Camp Counselor and Camp Director;
Provide a safe learning environment to motivate students.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Organizational skills with attention to detail;
Flexible and adaptable to handle various tasks as needed;
