The Opportunity

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an onsite Senior Manager – Conferencing Platforms & Technology. This role will oversee the entire lifecycle of the technology in conference spaces, globally. This role will ensure that all aspects of AV and conferencing technology services are aligned with your organization's goals and operational needs. This position will be based onsite at Abbott Laboratories Chicagoland Headquarters.

Core Job Responsibilities: 

• Manage the delivery and operations of Abbott’s Conferencing capabilities including Conference Space technology, Collaboration tools, Audio & Web conferencing platforms, and Streaming platforms. 
• Oversees strategic Collaboration projects, in alignment with organizational goals. 
• Provides leadership across all capabilities to ensure roadmaps are developed and being executed on through strategic projects and key initiatives. 
• Prioritize work based on return on investment, customer satisfaction, product performance, short/long term impact and overall strategic company goals. 
• Define, lead and build a high performing, collaborative team.  Hold team members and others accountable for consistently following through on commitments and ensuring that results are achieved. 
• Works with internal personnel, managed service partners, and key vendors to ensure service levels are consistently met for critical services. 
• Manages day to day operations of Abbott’s conferencing platforms such as WebEx, and MS Teams 
• Manages intake and platform support in the execution of large events, ensuring smooth, quality delivery and performance. 
• Ensures solutions are compliant with legal, privacy and security requirements. 
• Develops and implements business continuity and disaster recovery protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss. 
• Provide training and education to employees to drive adoption of conferencing tools. 
• Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure. 
• Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs. 
• Organizes and manages technical project plans in accordance with the strategic plans of the IT organization and senior leaders within the organization and analyses and recommends appropriate solutions to requests.
• Communicates effectively to provide optimal support of all departments' information systems needs and to promote a professional climate throughout the organization and at all levels. 
• Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.   
• Drives continuous Improvement of existing solutions and technologies.
