What you'll do...
As a Software Engineer III on the Order Intake team, you will use your passion for technology along with your .NET/C# and Java skillsets to build and maintain applications that make the pharmacy associate's job easier and facilitates the secure and rapid movement of prescriptions in and out of the pharmacy while ensuring we meet or exceed all HIPAA, Legal, and Compliance requirements throughout the process. Additionally, you will be working with technologists that solve some of the most complex problems at Walmart and building solutions that impact millions of patients and associates in the Health & Wellness Pharmacy area.About Team: Health & Wellness Pharmacy - Order Intake
Order Intake team is responsible for securely and efficiently receiving millions of prescriptions into Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies. As the first step in the digital prescription workflow, we play a critical role in improving patient outcomes and associate efficiency. Our tech has been recognized for five consecutive years in the healthcare industry, and we aim to continue pushing innovation and excellence in pharmacy technology.
What you'll do:
- Design and implement core features to the Walmart Pharmacy Ecosystem.
- Build components, libraries and services using .Net/C#, Entity Framework and WCF.
- Influence and collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, design leads and the business to develop a unified approach to engineering.
- Understand complex architecture and add any enhancements to the existing solutions.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.
What you'll bring:
- At least 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Experience in .Net/C#, SQL & NoSQL DB, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience in building data communication between back-end systems using Kafka
- Experience with public cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, GCP
- Experience with telemetry and observability frameworks including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenObserve and ELK.
- Experience with unit and performance testing of applications to increase resilience using technologies including Jenkins, MSTest, NUnit and JMeter.
- Understanding of commercial business strategy and goals to solve complex problems with high impact.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
