IFF is seeking a dynamic Senior Account Manager to join our NOAM Consumer Fragrance Commercial Team. Based in our Global Headquarters in New York, NY, this role will partner closely with a fast‑paced, highly creative, trend‑driven strategic customer in the beauty and personal care space.

This customer is known for its strong fragrance sensibilities, high social media influence, rapid innovation cycles, and sharp intuition for fine‑fragrance‑level olfactive trends. We are seeking a commercial leader who can thrive in this environment—balancing creativity, storytelling, and customer intimacy with strong commercial discipline, financial acumen, and execution excellence.

About the Role — Where You’ll Make an Impact

In this high‑visibility, high‑impact commercial role, you will:

Drive Commercial & Strategic Leadership

  • Lead and expand a major account relationship, developing strategies that unlock growth, whitespace opportunities, and long‑term partnership potential.

  • Implement and execute regional sales strategies while aligning closely with global initiatives.

  • Own revenue, forecasting, margin management, and profitability targets.

Shape Fragrance & Product Direction

  • Build deep knowledge of the consumer fragrance and beauty landscape—especially emerging scent trends, fine fragrance cues, viral social trends, and culturally relevant innovation drivers.

  • Translate trend insights into actionable creative direction that resonates with the customer’s unique brand voice and consumer base.

  • Guide internal teams to craft olfactive solutions, concept direction, and product storytelling that elevate IFF’s competitive position.

Lead Customer Engagement & Presentation Excellence

  • Serve as the primary commercial voice in front of senior‑level customer stakeholders across Marketing, CI, R&D, Product Development, and Procurement.

  • Deliver compelling, insight‑rich presentations that inspire, influence, and shape customer decision‑making.

  • Curate meetings, workshops, and events that showcase IFF’s best‑in‑class creativity and innovation.

Manage Complex Projects & Cross‑Functional Teams

  • Lead cross‑functional project teams—including Perfumers, Scent Design, CI, Marketing, and Innovation—to ensure flawless execution of fast‑paced and often technically complex briefs.

  • Navigate technical challenges (e.g., stability, formulation nuances) with clarity and problem‑solving agility.

  • Maintain strong project management discipline and the ability to prioritize shifting needs in a dynamic environment.

What Makes You the Right Fit

Experience & Expertise

  • 10+ years’ experience in consumer goods, fragrance houses, fragrance marketing, or beauty/personal care brand development.

  • Proven commercial success with fragrance‑driven or trend‑driven brands strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Chemistry or related field.

Commercial & Analytical Strength

  • Demonstrated success driving strategy, identifying whitespace, and converting opportunities into commercial wins.

  • Exceptional negotiation abilities—skilled in motivating internal teams to execute with urgency while guiding the customer toward feasible, mutually aligned outcomes.

  • Financial savvy across pricing, margin optimization, forecasting, and analytics.

Creativity & Trend Fluency

  • Passion for fragrance, beauty culture, and emerging olfactive and aesthetic trends.

  • Ability to communicate scent direction and creative thinking in a way that resonates visually, verbally, and emotionally.

  • Comfortable leveraging social and cultural insights to strengthen commercial storytelling.

Leadership & Presentation Skills

  • Confident presenter with strong public‑speaking skills; comfortable leading large meetings and senior leadership discussions.

  • Experience managing direct reports or demonstrated interest in talent development.

  • Able to build trust-based relationships internally and externally.
