About the Role

FareHarbor, a Booking.com company, is looking for an experienced full time Senior Engineer to join our product team in the Netherlands. We’re a quickly growing company with a robust product that tens of thousands of people rely on to run their businesses every day.

What you’ll do here:

As a Senior Front End Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our client-facing web applications. You will work closely with the design team to create responsive and intuitive user interfaces that provide an exceptional user experience. You will also collaborate with our back-end developers to ensure seamless integration between the front-end and back-end systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Build user facing features for the leading software for tours and activities using JavaScript (TypeScript preferred) and modern front-end frameworks
• Ensuring that our applications are responsive and accessible across all devices and platforms
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows industry best practices
• Collaborating with the design team to ensure that our applications have a consistent look and feel
• Working with our back-end developers to design and implement RESTful APIs that integrate with our front-end applications
• Writing automated tests to ensure that our applications are reliable and scalable
• Contributing to code reviews and participating in team meetings to ensure that our development process is efficient and effective.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in front-end development, working with large-scale production codebases and mission-critical systems
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as TypeScript
• A clear vision on front-end technology, solid knowledge and understanding of web component based development
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Good understanding of software design patterns and principles, including SOLID
• Good knowledge of web content accessibility guidelines
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Past experience working with greenfield projects and/or startups is a bonus (but not required)
