Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values. In addition, the manager leads and manages all operational aspects of the department(s): financial/resource management, quality of care, personnel management, service excellence and daily operations. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards applicable to the assigned area of nursing practice. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

   1. Manage department employees and resources in a cost-effective manner

·         Nursing Resources

·         Education

·         Infusion

 2.  Oversee patient care guideline development and ongoing review and revision process.

 3.  Oversee the production and approval process for physician protocols, physician order sets, and hospital approved forms.

         4.  Acts as a change agent

         5.  Displays effective personal relationship and team building

         6.  Improves patient experience

Qualifications

Education:  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Possesses a nursing license in good standing in the State of Alabama.  BSN  required, MSN preferred.

 

Experience: Minimum of five years hospital experience.  Minimum of two years in a leadership role such as manager or director.
