Parking and Transportation Services, a division of the University of South Florida's Administrative Services department is responsible for the overall management of the Bull Runner Transit System and parking facilities and services. We are committed to providing guidance and assistance to the USF community and our guests with all their parking and transportation needs in a professional and courteous manner.
Provide general office, document preparation and administrative support for a department, office, or defined staff group at USF. Perform a wide range of support duties including preparation of correspondence and reports, filing, preparation. Review and decide on the outcome of appeals submitted online through the Parking and Transportation Services website based on the USF parking rules and regulations. Communicate the appeal decision to the customer via mail and email formats. Schedule second appeals, as received, to the proper final appeal committee (student or faculty/staff/visitor). Create electronic appeal packets to include copies of first and second appeals, prior citations, customer account summary, patroller's photographs and customer's supporting documents.
Composes, types, and distributes meeting notes, correspondence, forms and reports of a moderate complexity. General clerical support such as filing, data entry, basic document creation, calendaring. Performs specialized project support duties of a clerical or administrative nature specific to the subject matter of the department or program. Provides recommendations for policy and procedure development. Enter data and run reports on our permit and citation databases, organizing schedules and meetings, and maintaining forms, files and other records.
Review first level appeals submitted online through the Parking and Transportation Services website. Communicate with appellants, as necessary, to obtain additional information to support appeals (i.e. doctor's note, copy of parking permit, letter of support, etc.) Decide on the outcome of the appeal based on the USF parking rules and regulations, the customer's parking history, and extenuating circumstances. Communicate the appeal decision to the customer via mail and email formats. Schedule second appeals, as received, to the proper final appeal committee (student or faculty/staff/visitor). Create electronic appeal packets to include copies of first and second appeals, prior citations, customer account summary, patroller's photographs and customer's supporting documents. Send notice to second appeal customers with hearing date. Send the appeal files to committee members before each hearing for review. Update committee's decision to Parking system (FLEX).

Arrange and attend PAT'S marketing/outreach events and second level hearings to provide information to committee as needed.
MINIMUM:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two or more years of experience in an office or administrative support position. College or other relevant post-secondary coursework may substitute for the experience requirement on a year for year basis. Testing may be required to assess competency on word processing software.
PREFERRED:
Familiarity with USF Parking Rules and Regulations, as well as USF Tampa campus buildings and parking facilities. Experience using Banner/OASIS, GEMS, and T2 Flex parking systems. Knowledge of MS Office suite.
