Meet the team:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Staff Core Team Leader to join our Product & Platform Sustaining Core Team. In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team who ensure ongoing commercial and operational success of our on-market products by ensuring the current hardware platform continues to be the best on the market. This role requires strong action-oriented leadership skills, technical expertise in a variety of engineering teams, structured problem-solving knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional partners.

Where you come in:

  • You will lead a cross-functional team of R&D engineers, operations and manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, regulatory affairs, and product managers to sustain and improve existing products.

  • You manage, monitor, diagnose, develop, and implement strategies to address product/platform issues, enhance performance, and ensure customer satisfaction using structured problem solving techniques.

  • You lead the team in monitor product performance and quality metrics to prioritize, initiate, and drive, continuous improvement initiatives.

  • You ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders regarding product/platform updates, issues, and resolution of field issues leading stakeholders through decisions and tradeoffs.

  • You will lead and manage sustaining projects (continuous improvement, scaling, supplier change, quality improvement, etc.) including initiation, prioritization, timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve team goals.

  • You will provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of deep technical and quality excellence.

  • You lead collaboration with Operations, Logistics, and Commercial Planning teams to ensure and resolve alignment of product/platform, manufacturing, and distribution roadmaps.

What makes you successful:

  • Your proven experience in a leadership role within a product sustaining or similar environment.

  • Your strong technical background with a deep understanding of product development and lifecycle management.

  • Your exceptional structured problem-solving skills and the ability to lead the team making data-driven decisions. Preferred black belt certification in structured problem methodologies.

  • Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Your proficiency in work effectively in a fast-paced, and dynamic environment driving out ambiguity and providing clarity to focus project scope.

  • Your proven experience using world class project management tools and methodologies.

  • Your knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards. Preferred experience in releasing, managing, and sustaining FDA and BSI medical device filings.

  • Preferred experience in the medical technology, consumer electronics technology, or other regulated engineering industry.

  • Preferred experience in both R&D and operations/manufacturing engineering roles.

  • Preferred experience in engineering leadership of multisource and large scaling projects (100’s of millions of units).
