Assistant General Manager

Description

Our goal at SeaQuest is to ensure guests have a one-of-a-kind experience interacting with animals from all over the world. SeaQuest is looking for an Assistant General Manager who will enhance the guest experience by creating a warm, inviting, and energetic environment throughout the aquarium. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for hiring, training and directing up to fifty full-time and part-time team members throughout the facility.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

• Maintain proper inventory levels
• Ensure guest experience and interaction standards are met
• Follow and enforce company standard operating procedures ( SOPs )
• Follow and enforce accounting processes
• Motivate and influence employees, peers and other staff
• Manage budget and daily expenses
• Ensure compliance to marketing, theming and branding
• Promote and maintain the Brand and Culture within the aquarium
• Develop, maintain and grow company business
• Account for the Key Performance Indicators

Requirements

Assistant General Manager Requirements:

• Three years prior management experience
• Positive, team driven, Relentless Continuous Improvement attitude
• Attractions/entertainment experience highly preferred
• Experience with animals is a plus
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Effectively communicate information verbally and in writing
• Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
• Proficiency with cloud, PC and MS Office and general tech skills
• Be a strong self-motivator
• Proven Sales experience 
• Strong management and personnel development capabilities
• Ability to work weekends and selected holidays

Education:

• Degree in related field is preferred but not necessary
