Communications Intern

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Research and write articles for company’s internal newsletter
  • Create content for the company’s social media channels
  • Create PowerPoint presentations on topics as assigned by manager
  • Brainstorm and develop communication plans and tools for specific projects and initiatives
  • Support content and asset archiving and organization
  • Work with communications managers on planning and executing special events, including town halls and other communication opportunities
  • Special projects as needed

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Current Junior or Senior student with a 3.0 GPA
  • Majoring in Journalism, Public Relations or Communications
  • Working knowledge of AP style format
  • Strong writing, editing and communication skills
  • Leadership abilities
  • Highly collaborative with a can-do attitude
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite), presentation design, desktop publishing skills
  • Knowledge of web-based tool development and social media a plus
  • Graphic design skills a plus
  • Travel may be required (up to 10%)
