Cloud Analyst - Cybersecurity

LightFeather is seeking a Cloud Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Washington DC, and lead and implement robust security strategies across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will be responsible for securing multi-cloud environments, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and advising on risk management and mitigation strategies. Your expertise in cloud security frameworks, compliance standards, and security operations will be key to protecting sensitive data and ensuring a secure cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud security frameworks across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for multi-cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure cloud infrastructure, applications, and data management.
- Provide expert guidance on risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance (FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP) within cloud ecosystems.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and incident response planning across cloud platforms.
- Implement and manage security controls, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), encryption, IAM, and vulnerability management.
- Oversee security operations for cloud platforms, including monitoring, logging, and threat detection for cloud security threats.
- Stay ahead of emerging cloud security trends, regulatory changes, and evolving cyber threats to enhance cloud security strategies.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- US Citizenship.
- Active Top Secret clearance is strongly preferred (Secret clearance holders will be considered).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cloud security and cybersecurity, with deep knowledge of AWS, GCP, and Azure security principles and architecture.
- Expertise in cloud security technologies, cloud infrastructure security, and cloud-native security solutions.
- Strong familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards (FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP) and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security controls, access management, encryption protocols, and vulnerability management in multi-cloud environments.
- Experience in risk management, compliance, and governance in cloud-based infrastructures.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide security advisement to leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Must be able to work on-site (5 days/week) in Washington, DC.
