About the role:
Samsara is looking for a Business Operations analyst to play a critical role in building and scaling our renewals sales organization. The role includes being the expert on critical data sources and weaving that data into analysis to drive insights that will optimize the performance of our renewals cycle by implementing and managing processes for renewals planning, forecasting, and operational excellence.

In this role, you will:
- Serve as the expert on Salesforce, financial systems, and customer success platforms, resolving discrepancies between financial and CRM data and transforming complex datasets into reliable information.
- Partner with the Global Renewal Sales Organization, Business Operations, and Finance to provide actionable insights into business drivers, financial performance, and risks.
- Build and maintain models to forecast renewal rates, revenue retention, and churn risk using historical performance, customer behavior, and market data.
- Analyze team performance and develop recommendations for improving renewal rates, increasing revenue, and increase sales efficiency.
- Develop key performance metrics to drive sales productivity and own quarterly/annual reporting on renewal bookings, pipeline, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to prepare insights that support sales kickoff presentations, business reviews, and strategic presentations.
- Maintain deep understanding of renewals processes and systems to develop administrative policies and deep insights consistent with global sales standards.

Minimum requirements for the role:
- Minimum 2 years in a management consulting firm and/or as a Sales Operations / Business Operations or Financial Analyst
- Comfort with performing analytical work with large data sets to perform modeling, forecasting, and sales analyses, experience in consulting, investment banking, or other highly quantitative roles
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, and other sales tech stack
- Experience with financial data and analysis preferred
- Ability to communicate effect
