The Senior Director, Software Engineering is a senior-level leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and operation of software systems, with a focus on managing distributed teams. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering, project management, and leadership, and will be able to lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of highly scalable and efficient systems.  What You’ll Do: ·       Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives, with a focus on managing distributed teams.  ·       Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of software systems, utilizing agile methodologies and tools.  ·       Ensure that software engineering practices align with industry best practices and standards.  ·       Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure a smooth and secure release process.  ·       Manage and coordinate the work of distributed teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.  ·       Mentor and coach engineers on best practices in software engineering and development.  ·       Stay current with the latest software engineering trends, tools, and technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.  ·       Act as a technical expert for the organization and represent the organization in industry forums and technical discussions.     Who You Are: ·       10+ years of experience in software engineering, project management, and leadership, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.  ·       Extensive knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns.  ·       Strong experience with agile methodologies and tools.  ·       Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate the work of distributed teams.  ·       Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  ·       Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.  ·       Relevant certifications in software engineering or project management are a plus.    Some of Our Many Perks ·       Monthly health and wellness stipend ·       Task Human App with 24/7 wellness coaches ·       Complimentary beverages, snacks and lunches catered twice a week ·       Summer Fridays ·       Competitive PTO ·       12 paid company holidays ·       Commuter benefits ·       Benefits Hub discount platform ·       Opportunities‌‌ for‌‌ training and mentorship‌‌   We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
