About the Role:

We're looking for a Frontend Engineer who cares deeply about performance and craft to build video-centric interactive applications that delight and engage users. You have experience crafting fluid, multi-state, asynchronous experiences with thoughtful microinteractions and animations, and you’re comfortable translating Figma designs and prototypes into production-ready applications with rich behaviors.

Interviewing in person in San Francisco will be required.

In this role, you will:

• Building performant, polished interfaces that allow users to interact with video

• Craft fluid, multi-state, asynchronous experiences.

• Translate Figma designs/prototypes into production-ready UIs with rich behaviors

• Ensuring every interaction - from micro-animations to keyboard shortcuts - feels immediate and intentional

You may be a good fit if you have:

• 3-5 years of experience building production React applications

• Deep expertise in React performance optimization, render cycle management, and complex state handling

• Track record of building smooth, responsive interfaces with real-time updates and complex interactions

• Experience with video players, timeline interfaces, or creative tools

• Obsessive attention to response times, polish, and the details that make products feel professional

• Keen eye for design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI-powered products or creative/editing tools

• Familiarity with video workflows (HLS, timeline-based editing, EDL/FCPXML)

• Background in building collaborative features (real-time sync, permissions, commenting)

• Experience optimizing large data sets in the browser (thousands of video clips)
