The Human Resources Department is responsible for the recruitment of, management of, and providing direction to the people who work in the organization through effective policies, procedures, guidelines, and support. Human Resources Management is the organizational function overseeing compensation, hiring, performance management, organization development, safety, wellness, benefits, employee motivation, communication, administration, and training.                                                    

The position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and administration of local and global policies and programs for staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development and training, organizational development, regulatory compliance to meet the business strategies and customer requirements within the framework of Catalent’s overall corporate philosophy and policies, external laws, and regulations.

This is a full-time on-site salaried position, Monday - Friday, 1st Shift

The Role:  

  • Ensures implementation and utilization of policies, procedures, programs dealing with the specific activities of staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development and training, HR information systems, etc.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective and credible relationship with both management and employees; works closely with management and supervision to provide support, planning and problem solving; fosters open communication with business partners and employee population.
  • Coaches, counsels, and guides managers on employee disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and other employee relations issues.
  • Conducts frequent and accurate transactions using the Catalent software packages, including Workday (HRIS), Compliance-Wire (training management system) and various project management tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
  • Coordinates local recruiting activities, such as local job fairs, career days, etc.; will participate on interview panels in the candidate selection process; will prepare offer recommendations; and will develop relationships with local schools and organizations to position Catalent as local Employer of Choice.
  • Coordinates and assists with employee activities and communications.
  • Delivers the training of the site’s performance management program (PMP); coordinates all aspects of the performance management system and process, providing guidance to managers and employees on effective utilization of the process.
  • Administers leave of absence and related pay continuation policies with assistance from HR Manager e.g., FMLA, jury duty, funeral/military leave, short term/long term disability, etc., and ensures compliance with related record keeping requirements, and ensures compliance with the applicable state and federal law(s).
  • Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Business Management) is required.
  • Requires 4+ years broad and progressive experience in human resources. Exposure to pharmaceutical or related technical industries preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
