Main Responsibilities:

• Provide microbiological testing and support to the Microbiology and Manufacturing departments

• Execution of QC-Micro testing (Bioburden, Endotoxin, water testing, growth promotion, Microbial identifications, Raw materials, Microbial limit testing, Sterility testing and Environmental monitoring)

• Proficient with small volume pipetting and the use of micropipettes

• Compliance with cGMP and Standard Operating Procedures at all times

• Documentation review and approval

• Provide technical guidance and expertise to QC Microbiology Team and external departments

• Effective interaction with other departments (internal and external). In particular, close contact maintained with the Microbiology, Production, Validation, Manufacturing and Planning Departments, & QA

• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the lab 

• QC Micro representation at cross functional meetings

• Providing support for audits conducted by regulatory agencies like FDA

• Conduct duties in a safe manner and report all safety issues or concerns

About You

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a Science discipline: Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmacy

• Minimum 2-3 years experience within Microbiology in a GMP facility, preferably within the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry

• Knowledge of quality management systems

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
