Head of Commercial

 

Location dependent on successful candidate

 

£71,842 - £83,186 per year plus Company car or car allowance

 

35 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for a Head of Commercial to join our Property Services team. Property Services is responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs, compliance and

installation and estate services across the UK to mainly internal clients and additionally a small number of

external clients. It is also responsible for operational Health and Safety of the service, including fire safety and delivering effective group wide asset management and reinvestment programmes.

 

The role of Head of Commercial will include:

  • Lead on the contractual and commercial performance of the Property Services function
  • Provide robust analysis and management information to the senior management team, including making strategic recommendations based on commercial expertise regarding contract performance and growing projects divisions
  • Lead the provision of accurate and innovative month end analysis packs for all regions including KPI performance management reporting and analysis
  • Report on financial performance and identify risks based on knowledge and understanding of the pricing model
  • Develop key requirements of contracts, working with the senior management team to optimise operating surplus and mitigate any risk to the Group and actively identify significant risks and opportunities
  • Lead on the provision of a financial framework in order to measure and guide contract performance
  • Provide commercial expertise to wider Finance and Commercial departments and develop and deliver training where required

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
  • Qualified to RICS Associate status or similar
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role managing financial and commercial processes in Housing, FM, building services, construction or similar industry
  • Proven experience of leading and managing a high performing commercial team
  • Significant experience in effective financial management of contracts and services
  • Proven knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation and current practice, including the practical application of Health and Safety legislation
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

  • South East pay £75,435 per annum (rising to £79,405 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
  • London pay £79,027 per annum (rising to £83,186 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
  • All other areas pay £71,842 per annum (rising to £75,624 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
