Position Summary
Caremark is the nation's leading pharmacy benefit manager (PBM). We work to ensure the path to better health is affordable, easy to access, and simple to follow, for our 103 million plan members. We provide personalized support to help people start and stay on their medications, because people who take their medications have better outcomes and lower health care costs.
Caremark is recruiting for an AVP, PBM Platform and Automation who creates and implements the strategy for myPBM and other automation platforms. This includes overseeing both the capital and operational budgets. This role will work closely with CVS Caremark Executive Committee, key business partners, and various levels of leadership in building and shaping the transformation strategy and aligning Caremark to the vision, solutions and returns on the investment.
You'll make an impact by:
Leading the entire myPBM & Automation organization which executes the product strategy and roadmap.
Overseeing goals, OKRs, roadmaps, and measurements of success for myPBM and other automation platforms for Caremark. This is in partnership with CVS Caremark Executive Committee.
Working closely with external clients and internal partners on myPBM and other automation platform development.
Developing a high-performing team specifically focused on building on top talent of the team, driving influencing and collaboration competencies as well as a client-centric culture which applies common methods to drive excellence in roles and function.
Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work, live, and serve.
Required Qualifications
The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company’s business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:
15+ years of progressive leadership experience specifically overseeing diverse and multiple layers of colleagues, working in a matrix environment; with past responsibility of managing goals and a budget.
15+ years of experience building and developing external clients and internal partner relationships.
10+ years of product development and product management experience, including product implementation in a large-matrixed environment with the ability to adapt to changing business dynamics.
10+ years of program and project management experience leading large-scale initiatives.
8+ years of experience partnering with IT on the development of systems to meet specific business needs.
Ability to work autonomously setting priorities and taking necessary actions to identify, contain, and remediate issues.
5+ years of healthcare experience, preferably in the Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM).
Ability to travel 10-20% based on business needs.
Position is open to remote or hybrid work arrangements anywhere in the US. If work remotely, there will be travel expected to meet with clients and consultants.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of current tools or applications used to manage Benefit Operations – such as RxClaim, Formulary Management System, SFDC, Tableau
Knowledgeable in cross-functional Root Cause Detection best practices
Experience in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$157,800.00 - $363,936.00
