We are looking for a Lead Technical Producer to drive the delivery of our most ambitious digital innovations, guiding our world-class production teams to define the future of digital interaction. This strategic position will focus on orchestrating complex, end-to-end productions—spanning immersive web experiences and AI-driven workflows, to real-time game development, and Augmented and Virtual Reality solutions.
Sorry folks! This is not a position suited for film or TV writers or producers. You must have strong digital and technical production experience.
About the Role
As a Lead Technical Producer, you will serve as the strategic anchor for our most ambitious digital innovations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between creative vision and technical reality. The buck starts and stops with you; you are responsible for the financial and operational success of projects, ensuring that Monks—as an end-to-end digital partner—delivers excellence from the initial concept to the final line of code.
We are looking for a seasoned leader who doesn’t just think in projects, but in partnerships, developing client relationships and work-streams miles (and milestones) ahead. You will act as a trusted advisor to top-tier clients who seek your expertise on the feasibility and production of their ideas, translating complex technical details into accessible language while managing expectations at the highest levels.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end project life cycle of large-scale interactive campaigns, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Own the financial health of your projects; quote, budget, and scope digital initiatives with precision, utilizing your technical grasp to establish realistic costs and timings.
- Orchestrate production across international offices and time zones, coordinating between creative, development, and data teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Partner with clients to conduct thorough discovery sessions, translating business needs into technical roadmaps and ensuring their vision is technically viable.
- Oversee the asset pipelines for complex web and immersive experiences, including WebGL, AR/VR, and AI-integrated workflows.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a positive environment that promotes professional development and resilience in a fast-paced setting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project status, risk management, and resource allocation, utilizing management tools like Jira and Confluence to maintain clarity.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI and automation tools to optimize production workflows and enhance creative output.
About You
The essentials:
- 10+ years of experience in project management, digital production, or technical account management, ideally within a digital production company or agency environment.
- Proven track record of leading multiple large-scale campaigns and managing cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- High technical literacy and hands-on experience with Real-Time engines (Unity and/or Unreal) and 2D/3D asset pipelines for WebGL (Three.js, R3F) and web-based AR (8th Wall).
- Strong understanding of Generative AI platforms and APIs (e.g., LLMs, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI) and how to integrate them into production.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Next.js) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
- Previous experience scaling teams or mentoring junior producers.
- Exceptional client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, build rapport, and translate "dev-speak" into clear business language.
- Demonstrated ability to budget and quote complex technical projects, understanding the P&L implications of scope changes.
- Excellent organizational skills, with proficiency in management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to pivot in response to changing client needs or project dynamics without losing sight of the deadline.
