Cleared Geospatial Data Cataloger

Primary Responsibilities. The candidate shall perform the following duties:
a.    Populate Integrated Library Systems (ILS) database using current customer modified MARC 21, AACR2R, and RDA standards.
b.    Follow all established customer cataloging guidelines.
c.    Conduct metadata reviews and verification of data integrity.
d.    Request and maintain access to security domain systems (SBU/NIPR, SecNet, COE).
e.    Provide weekly metrics tracking number of items cataloged.
f.    Transportation of physical media (up to 25lbs.)
g.    Utilize a ladder in the scope of filing.
h.    Maintain proper file management in accordance with division standards.
i.    Conduct collection maintenance services, e.g. filing, bar codes, storage, in process mail, etc. 

Required Qualifications. 
a.    Course work in Cartography or Geodesy; 1 year of demonstrated experience working with metadata and coordinate systems (MGRS, Lat/Long, UTMs); or 1 year of demonstrated work experience applying MARC 21, AACR2R, or RDA standards
b.    Proficient in computer-based data entry.
c.    Basic understanding of Military or Federal Mapping Standards. (Enumeration; Chronology; Marginalia).
d.    Ability to support movement and organization of physical media by carrying boxes (up to 25lbs) and climbing a ladder. 
4.    Preferred Qualifications. 
a.    Knowledge of library clerical procedures and practices.
b.    Understanding of MARC 21, AACR2R, and RDA standards.
c.    Experience with customer service.
d.    Understanding of DoD or IC maps/products.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
