In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize our backend applications, ensuring performant and clearly written code. You write code while thinking about the next developer that will have to work with it.</p></li><li><p>Testing is a core part of your development process.</p></li><li><p>Implement best practices for code quality, performance, and security.</p></li><li><p>Share your knowledge through in-depth code reviews, daily stand-ups, and weekly get-togethers.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Must-have skills</strong></p><ul><li><p>Strong proficiency in <strong>Ruby(Rails)</strong> or similar languages like <strong>Python, Javascript</strong></p></li><li><p>Testing with <strong>Rspec</strong> or similar testing frameworks</p></li><li><p><strong>SQL</strong> optimization strategies and the ability to work with complex relationship queries</p></li><li><p>Proficient in using <strong>Git</strong> for version control and collaborative development</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Nice-to-have skills</strong></p><ul><li><p>Familiarity with <strong>accessibility standards</strong> to ensure equitable software design.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of modern frontend technologies and how the backend will work with them.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of <strong>Javascript</strong> for frontend integration when necessary.
