Overview of daily responsibilities
The role of the Digital & Social Media Marketing Intern will be responsible for asset management, content development process (including content management and publishing), help with influencer management, and support eCommerce.
For social media, you will work with internal and external partners including Field Marketing Managers, the social media team, influencers, and present your end of internship project to marketing team members.
For Ecomm, you will work directly with our company operations managers and franchise owners to ensure their third- and first-party delivery platforms are up and running and that they are satisfied with both the program and the service level that the eCommerce team is providing. You will be a liaison for IT related inquiries and responsible for managing the relationship with internal and external support providers. You will work hard to ensure that issues are addressed in a timely manner while aiding in implementing long term solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Deliverables that can be objectively measured
The performance and use of assets planned strategically, adoption rate and use of the asset management system (within existing tools) and assigning an ROE/ROI on the assets developed (time to develop, effort level to develop- quick/fast vs. planned and scripted) and expense to develop content.
Responsibilities:
- Access social media accounts via Sprout Social review performance of daily posts, comments on posts and check the status of localized, and targeted campaigns.
- Utilize analytical customer engagement within each platform to analyze the performance of messaging and content.
- Load content across social and owned platforms and build campaigns within respective assigned platforms to help support the business needs.
- Research SEO ongoing opportunities and challenges leveraging tools to help expand our customer’s experiences online and drive sales.
- Analyze performance of influencer campaigns and share concise reports with team members on progress during a period.
- Provide operational support as part of the eCommerce team towards internal external and stakeholders.
- Support Delivery Menu updates and audits and brief submissions.
- Project management - monitor and track open IT/Operations related issues and establish patterns for optimizing system performance.
How would this internship project add value to the organization?
Digital media is quickly becoming the best way for companies to deploy a marketing plan. I will assist the team in evaluating the current plan by adding my own ideas and implementing them in terms of the overall social media strategy. I will bring an outside perspective to the system that is in place with the intent of adding a new look and fresh insights.

- Update the company’s social media sites (e.g.: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), website (via partner and/or WP publishing tools), monitor SEO fixes and competitive updates.
- Assist with organizing top performing content for future creative briefs and creative requests.
- Research potential locations for a new franchise opportunity based upon community management and social media listening.
- Develop an integrated local campaign that includes Ecommerce, Owned Channel (SMS, website, and email), and Social Media tactics to help solve for a challenge within our organization to drive sales and traffic in a market faced with a growing number of lapsed customers during the time of the internship.
