Are you interested in being a part of Clarkston's Resource Management Team? We have an open position for a Resource Management Senior.
Resource Management is the firm's function responsible for driving alignment with Clarkston's supply and demand needs. This role will serve as part of the overall Resource Management team to provide insight and alignment on the firm's resource and skill needs for both billable client project, and non-billable roles.
We are looking for a motivated, self-driven, roll-up-your-sleeves leader who is energized by team success and interested in building business development skills. In addition, this role will require a steward who can bring strategic and tactical skills to the position.
What You'll Do
Your role will be on the Clarkston Resource Management team and your responsibilities will include:
- Support billable client project staffing and supply/demand analysis as part of the Resource Management team
- Govern non-billable activities for stewards not staffed on billable client projects. Conduct 1:1 meetings with stewards to understand personal interests/career goals, facilitate bi-weekly bench calls, and provide overall guidance on internal activities.
- Regularly provide appropriate tracking and visibility into non-billable resource & activity project plans, metrics, and results to appropriate firm leadership
- Work closely with key stakeholders, such as firm Partners and Service Community Leadership, to help effectively and proactively identify the firm's focal investment areas and align bench stewards appropriately for support & individual development
- Be a trusted resource for stewards and Partners on individual career goals and internal programs that support steward's specific interests and growth areas
- Serve as an active contributor within Resource Management/Professional Development to provide input into supply/demand staffing constraints and longer-term steward skill development needs & investment areas
- Provide performance feedback based on steward contribution in internal/non-billable assignments
- Serve as backup for Resource Management lead, as needed
- Support continuous improvements efforts around non-billable activity/resource management

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- 5-7 years' experience in resource management, preferably in a Professional Services environment
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and insight generation
- Strong knowledge of the consulting industry, business terminology, and processes is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Life Sciences, Consumer Products, Retail, and/or Professional Services industries (to enable our stewards to serve clients in these industries successfully)
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience leading and managing diverse teams with direct and indirect reports. Ability to lead and coach others across the firm.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and oral communication skills. Must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to communicate to audiences at all levels clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to be a trusted advisor and handle and work with confidential human resources information, company information, and related materials
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities and tasks to achieve deadlines and to work in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Proficient in Office 365 (especially PowerPoint and Excel) and SharePoint
- This role will require approximately 5% travel
- Minimum degree requirement: bachelor's degree in business or related degree from an accredited college or universit
