In this role, you will lead investigations for the Business Integrity Office around the globe relating to reports of violations of the company’s code of conduct and policies, including allegations of bribery, corruption, compliance violations, privacy or cyber-security breaches, antitrust violations, accounting, or audit concerns, fraud, allegations regarding regulatory matters, and other ethics-related issues. You will also drive key programs for the Business Integrity Office, including the conflict-of-interest program, Business Integrity training and ambassador program, and compliance with ethics-related regulations globally, as well as driving board reporting on key metrics and developments for the Business Integrity Office.
Role Responsibilities
· You will lead investigations, including developing investigation plans, conducting interviews, providing legal advice, and supporting the investigation protocol and timelines of the Business Integrity Office.
· You will collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the company globally, including the Employment Law Group, Anti-Bribery and Corruption Team, Cyber Security, Privacy, Data Privacy, People Relations and Human Resources teams to manage ethics concerns and drive a culture of integrity and proactive risk management.
· You will support the Business Integrity Office in identifying and complying with ethics related regulations and disclosures globally.
· You will also drive key programs for the Business Integrity Office and model Western Union’s values and behaviors, including integrity, respect, trust and innovation to drive a world class ethics office.
Role Requirements
· A Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited school of law and will be admitted to at least one U.S. state bar.
· 3-5 years of experience in investigations within a law firm, government agency, or multinational corporation.
· Experience leading complex investigations, with preference for investigations conducted globally.
· Demonstrated proficiency in data management, data analytics, and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
· Experience in handling sensitive information with discretion and building trust and respect with employees at all levels.
· Skilled listener with proven ability to prioritize matters.
· Employment law experience a plus.
