Senior Accountant

• The base pay range for this position is $87,200 to $119,900 per year.**

What you get to do every day

• Prepare revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities.
• Manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
• Assist in the implementation of revenue recognition software and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Research and monitor of emerging and newly issued accounting standards and the adoption and implementation of new accounting pronouncements applicable to Thirty Madison; Perform technical accounting research for significant transactions.
• Coordinate with the internal and external team on drafting technical accounting memos as necessary.
• Work closely with FP&A department to support monthly and quarterly management reporting and flux analyses for multiple revenue streams.
• Partner with stakeholders across all business units to ensure proper recording of transactions.
• Provide support to external audit processes, including walkthroughs, interim and year end testing as requested.
• Assist in documenting policies and procedures for all areas of the accounting function
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required

What you bring to the role

• 2-4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a complex or high growth environment; ideal candidate will have a mix of public accounting and tech industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606,  revenue recognition principles and U.S. GAAP.
• Proven ability to interpret complex contractual agreements including various master agreements, amendments, SOW’s, etc.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply revenue accounting guidance and prepare formal, well-supported, accounting position papers and supporting analyses.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills. Knowledge of NetSuite is not required but is a plus.
• Ability and readiness to embrace and successfully drive/implement change.
• Process optimization focused; vision with the ability to apply practical solutions and navigate through ambiguity.
• Team player, independent, comfortable operating within a dynamic, complex organizational structure and able to be flexible and collaborate with the team on different projects and needs.
• Strong organization and time management skills with a “no task is too small” attitude. 
• Hard working, detail oriented.
