Job Description

For this role you must be willing to train in the MD/VA/DC area and relocate to a market in the West Coast. Travel will be extensive across the market territory.

As the senior leader over practice operations for the new market, the Vice President of Practice Operations is responsible for leadership oversight of the Performance Management, Implementation, Training, Value-based care and Care Center Transformation functions.  The Vice President of Practice Operations is on the executive leadership team of the Privia-Market MSO.  This individual is responsible for the oversight and relationship management of all care centers in Privia Medical Group new market as well as the financial performance, revenue growth, care center retention and physician engagement of the group.  The Vice President of Practice Operations oversees the teams responsible for Implementation, Training, Performance Management, Population Health and Care Center Transformation with additional dotted line responsibilities for managing market revenue cycle, credentialing and revenue optimization teams. The Vice President also serves to coordinate and liaison with National Privia leadership and related functions in support of advancing Privia Medical Group new market practice performance.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Oversee and responsible for market Practice Operations and MSO P&L.
  • Responsible for all retention strategies and conversations with care centers.
  • Manage the end-to-end relationship of a client in Privia, from implementation to performance management.
  • Recruit, build, train, and mentor the team required to meet the needs of the care centers and market as PMG  grows.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for the team and Practice Operations.
  • Host meetings with physician leaders and attend POD meetings as needed.
  • Manage metrics and goals related to growth, finance, revenue cycle, productivity, clinical performance, and customer experience.
  • Identify areas of opportunity improvements through reviewing financial & clinical metrics.
  • Foster and maintain positive workplace culture for all teams in the market
  • Work closely with the EVP-Health Systems , Privia Chief Growth Officer, Privia Vice President of Sales and Marketing Operations,  SVP, Value Based Care, and other key executives to develop, establish, and execute on growth strategies and programs 
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local payers to drive improved short-term reimbursement rates with commercial payers.
  • Ensure that departmental leaders and resources are responsive to the service and quality needs of physician practices and internal Privia staff.
  • Strategically solve problems through careful assessment and delivery of scalable recommendations and results.
  • Serve as Market leader interfacing with corporate teams managing care center functions including Finance, Revenue Cycle, Operations, Value Based Care and Clinical IT.
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable accreditation, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and develop the regular cadence of the operating model to improve and enhance the services to care centers.
  • Own the customer satisfaction for the Privia care centers.
  • Responsible for achieving key operating metrics and budget requirements for Practice Operations.
  • Provide input for National Practice Operations initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Healthcare Master’s or MBA highly preferred.
  • Healthcare operations experience required; working with physicians and medical group staff required; operations for large health system or group of practices with a strong knowledge of practice operations and clinical workflows.
  • Previous experience in managing healthcare departments and teams required.
  • P&L experience required.
  • Experience managing a team to achieve individual and shared goals. 
  • Quantitatively and financially focused; must know how to read and manage a balance sheet and explain financial data.
