Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

SciTec is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist/Bookkeeper.  

Responsibilities

• Sourcing back up documents for AP vouchers
• Coding AP vouchers with proper project/account/organization designations
• Auditing and processing travel expense reports for adherence to government travel regulations
• Entering AP regular and auto pay vouchers, expense reports, and company paid AMEX statements into our Deltek Costpoint Accounting system
• Entering Purchase Orders into our Material Management System
• Handling account inquiries from vendors and staff
• Ensuring 1099 reporting compliance
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Accounting or Business with accounting courses, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Must be a US citizen
• At least 3 years of high-level experience in Accounts Payable
• Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
• Intermediate to expert Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint software preferred
• Excellent data entry skills
• Strong ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet monthly deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Detail oriented
• Good verbal and written communication skills

The pay range for this position is $53,400 - $107,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
