What you will do
As the Senior Medical Communications Specialist, you will support the Stryker Neurovascular Medical Science Liaison (MSL), a non-commercial professional who focuses their efforts in a specific therapeutic area and serves as a cross-functional liaison between the company, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and other Health Care Professionals (HCPs). This position also supports the creation of the strategy for a communication plan for Stryker-Sponsored and Investigator-Initiated clinical studies, including supporting the planning of publication and podium presentations. This position, in addition, supports execution of the communication plan, including medical writing support, meeting and congress support, and stakeholder management.
Support MSL as they gather field intelligence from discussions with thought leaders and/or health care professionals, conference attendance and her/his own research and assists the MSL in transmitting this intelligence to internal stakeholders
Assist MSL with development of a Communication Plan to facilitate communication of publication and podium strategy and planning regarding clinical projects to stakeholders
Assist MSL as they respond to requests for scientific information and data regarding Stryker NV products, including unsolicited, off-label inquiries
Compliantly track scientific exchanges with HCPs
Conduct data mining within clinical study data sets for scientific and commercialization insights
Partner with the MSL and align with Marketing to strategize and plan the publication and podium presentation proliferation and messaging of Stryker-Sponsored and Investigator-Initiated relevant clinical outcomes
Partner with the MSL and customers (physicians) on abstracts, and society posters and presentations, and journal publications
Support coordination of Biostatistics to plan enable and provide the necessary data sets to meet project or customer requests
Interface with the Advertising & Promotion process to ensure compliant routing and required approvals for presentations and publications
Maintain high-quality and collaborative customer relationships in a professional and positive manner
Assist Regional Sales and Medical Education in training customers and Sales on podium presentations and publications
Support Publication Development and Approval process and associated documentation
What you need
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) required
2+ years of experience in a clinical research setting or regulated environment, preferably in biological, clinical, or life sciences
Medical device industry experience preferred
Clinical study execution experience preferred
$85,500 - $182,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
