About the role

Responsibilities

The Events Coordinator will support the strategic fundraising priorities of OakBend Medical Center (OBMC) by facilitating the success of the hospital’s fund raising events, employee giving campaign and providing support in other areas of the hospital’s fund raising program as needed. The Events Coordinator will collaborate with OBMC Marketing and Public Relations to promote community-wide understanding and support for OBMC fundraising objectives. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION 

 

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required. 

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

 

A minimum of two years in event planning and coordination or comparable job.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

 

None

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

 

Knowledge of procedures, patient safety, radiation safety and quality patient care. Ability to generate quality images in a timely manner.  Successful completion of the hospital or department specific training course.

 

ABOUT OAKBEND:

 

Preferred experience includes: Highly organized, personable, detail orientated and self-motivated. Effective communicator (written and verbal). Ability to identify, lead, and motivate volunteer committees including Board level committees. Able to manage a budget. Strong advocacy skills that motivate staff, volunteers and donors to commit to and provide support for OBMC’s mission of care. Ability to effectively and efficiently use excel, word and power point. Must have experience coordinating events and managing teams, including committee members, to complete all tasks to produce a successful event.
