Remote Bookkeeper (NDIS / Disability Services) Location: 100% Remote (Philippines) Permanent Dayshift (AU hours) The client is a growing NDIS-registered provider delivering high-quality disability support services, including Supported Independent Living (SIL), community participation, and daily living support. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Remote Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations in a fully virtual environment. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting NDIS compliance, and enabling informed business decisions working with an internal accountant. This role requires someone who is highly organised, tech-savvy, and confident working independently. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations- Maintain general ledger and accurate financial records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process payroll in line with Australian regulations (including SCHADS Award)
- Prepare NDIS invoicing and claims
- Track participant funding utilisation and budgets
- Ensure compliance with NDIS pricing arrangements
- Support financial audits and reporting requirements
- Prepare monthly reports as directed by the internal accountant (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Maintain cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB)
- Improve financial workflows and automation as directed by the internal accountant
Requirements
Key Requirements- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Officer (2+ years)
- Strong experience with cloud accounting software (Xero preferred)
- Understanding of Australian payroll, BAS, and compliance requirements
- Experience with NDIS billing and funding (highly desirable)
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment
- Reliable internet connection
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (email, Zoom, Teams)
- Comfortable using digital systems and cloud platforms
