As an Early Careers Recruiting Coordinator on the New York Life Talent Acquisition team, you will provide critical recruiting support to our businesses and leadership teams by handling all aspects of early careers recruiting administration, scheduling, event management, candidate data management and communications. You will work closely with Early Careers recruiters and other individuals on the Talent Acquisition team to support high volume recruitment efforts for our businesses.
The RC will be exposed to on-the-job training within a fast-paced environment. You will undergo job shadowing exercises to learn about the company, hiring practices and processes, and end-to-end hiring cycle execution. Coaching and feedback is provided to help you gain the necessary skills to be successful.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate interviews, both virtually and in-person, both on-campus and at company locations, ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience
- Communicating effectively via phone and email regarding business, recruiter, and candidate inquiries
- Manage the execution and logistics (material preparation, catering, facilities) of campus recruiting and summer programming events (in-person and virtually) including career fairs, information sessions and campus and on-site events
- Attend events when needed to provide support to the Early Careers Recruiting team
- Completing and compiling required hiring process documents, creating offer letters, and collecting additional new hire paperwork as needed
- Following up in a timely manner with candidates and partnering closely with TA and HR to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Processing expenses and invoices for candidates, events, and third-party vendors
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records and recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of early careers recruitment efforts and make data-driven improvements.
Position requirements
- BA degree and some experience in a professional client-facing capacity (internship, co-op, etc.) preferred
- Experience using an applicant tracking system would be a plus but not required
- Must have a strong attention to detail and sophisticated organizational skills
- Able to problem solve and develop solutions, and demonstrate superior time management abilities
- Possess strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
- Have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Interact with various levels of candidates and business members in a professional manner
- Desire to learn and to build a career in recruitment and HR
- Willingness to travel as needed to recruitment and industry events/conferences, etc.
This position is hybrid on-site (Tuesday through Thursday in-office, Monday and Friday work at home) with office location in New York.
Salary range: $40,000-$60,000
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
