About You and This Role:
Dow has an exciting opportunity for Senior Environmental Technicians in Orange, TX!
The Senior Environmental Technician shares responsibility for the implementation of the EH&S management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate with a primary focus on Environmental. Provides hands-on environmental, and health and safety (H&S) activities for a specific plant. You will be required full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. You will act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Responsibilities:
- Implements detailed, task level, day to day EH&S programs, utilizing the EH&S work process, standards and procedures.
- Ensures that the Environmental aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EH&S performance goals. In most cases, would perform the role of section owner for the EH&S sections of operating discipline.
- Acts as the Plant resource for related EH&S information on procedures, guidelines and standards.
- Serves as plant contact for Environmental issues.
- Coaches teams and individuals on environmental related tasks and activities.
- Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EH&S goals.
- Ensures compliance tasks are completed.
- Performs/coordinates certain Environmental monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the Plant.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of associate degree in a science related field and/or 4+ years of relevant Military training OR A High School Diploma and five years of relevant experience.
- Must have a current, valid US driver's license.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed.

- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Physical Requirements:
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Walk for extended periods of time.
- Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
- Work in tight and closed in spaces.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
- Work in an area with hazardous materials.
Preferred Skills:
- Be proficient in Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Effectively manages multiple competing priorities.
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision within an empowered team environment.
- Safety focused.
