What will I be doing?

This position is within the Transportation Department at the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) and is a member of the Accounting and Finance Team. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration and oversight of primarily transportation-related contracts with both government entities and consultants. This role works closely with transportation project and program managers to ensure contract compliance, accuracy, and timely processing. 

ü Transportation Consultant and Local Government Contracts

·        Draft, review, and revise consultant contracts, amendments, and extensions.

·        Ensure contract terms comply with organizational policies and legal requirements.

·        Assist with clarification of scope, deliverables, timelines, pricing, and payment terms.

·        Support program managers and staff during contract negotiations with vendors, consultants, and contractors.

·        Review consultant subconsultant agreements for compliance with legal requirements and project accuracy.

·        Enter contracts into the contract management system and track them through all required approval steps.

·        Maintain accurate contract records and organized filing systems.

·        Prepare and distribute contract status reports.

·        Maintain contract databases and tracking systems.
