Position Overview

QinetiQ, Inc is actively looking for a Vice President, Business Development to develop and drive our continued growth supporting the National & Global Security Solutions (NGSS) mission sets.

 

This role is responsible for the growth strategy, new business pipeline, execution of captures, and oversight and management of business development and capture support across the NGSS business unit to include but not be limited to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Justice (DoJ), and other federal civilian accounts.

 

This role is both internal and external facing. It requires engaging with potential customers, understanding emerging technologies, policies, and stakeholders as well as managing QinetiQ’s internal process and procedures to mature capture and bid strategies.  Successful candidates will have deep experience in selling both product and services within the DHS and federal civilian accounts, as well building new strategies and pipelines with emerging company capabilities. Candidates will bring an extensive network of federal, private sector, and contractor relationships to build a point of view, demonstrable capability with an emphasis on growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business unit executive leadership to identify, refine, and execute account/growth plan strategies.
  • Achieve yearly sales targets [Order Value] and build a forward leaning opportunity pipeline focused on unrestricted opportunities.
  • Oversee the maturation of growth opportunities through defined corporate-level capturemanagement processes.
  • Develop and maintain business unit level growth process and procedures.
  • Leverage relationships to identify potential opportunities, arrange meetings, initiatemarketing strategies, and build corporate relationships.
  • Establish strategies to integrate QinetiQ product offerings into growth strategies.
  • Develop and execute effective call plans for meetings with target clients, portfolioleaders, program managers, and industry partners.
  • Support outreach to new customers to build partnerships and communication strategies; developmethods to expand customer base; and develop strategies to help ensure consistent, efficient, and effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including other growth team members, client executives, proposal managers, corporate infrastructure departments and program teams to ensure effective, efficient, and integrated implementation of growth strategies.
  • Oversee the development of win themes, pricing strategies, and risk mitigation strategiesacross the NGSS business unit.
  • Meet or exceed established performance goals in support of overall corporate growth andsuccess.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or relevant field.
  • Requires a minimum of 15 years of delivering consulting and other professional servicesto federal and private sector clients.
  • Minimum of 10 years selling technology-enabled solutions and associated services aswell as fostering strategic relationships.
