Expedia Group, Traveler Partner Service Platform (TPSP), and the TPSP Program Mgmt. team is looking for a high-energy, motivated individual to lead strategic programs and manage day-to-day business operations. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter Program Manager with approximately 10+ years of experience that will drive complex technical and non-technical programs and projects requiring coordination across teams & organizations, establish strategy & direction of execution within a program, and facilitate using outstanding operational methodologies as well as have the unique influencing ability to work laterally, across diverse groups of stakeholders and partner teams across the company, to ensure objectives are met.
As a Technical Program Manager (Sr. or Principal) working for the Director of TPSP Program Management & Salesforce COE Governance, you will drive key programs and handle change & risk management and communications for your program areas. This role will include 90% percent of time managing 2 or more large and critical software delivery program areas (multiple initiatives); This includes working with Product Management and Stakeholders, as well as driving Engineering pods (within TPSP and across EG) acting as product owner, scrum master, or hybrid of both depending on initiative complexity and resource constraints. 10% percent of time managing priority TPSP Prod Tech Governance programs as assigned to enable the organization to scale; This includes programs (ongoing) or projects (with end date) and includes engagement with many groups across Expedia Group (finance, procurement, L&M, Training, Communications, other engineering teams). Some assignments include engineering engagement. Act as Functional lead for a group of TPMs or fulfil managerial business need, if presented.
This role works extensively with peers and leaders from both business and technical backgrounds; the winning candidate will need to be able to clearly communicate opportunities, ideas, concepts, surface issues, both verbally and in writing, and will be someone who can drive process implementation and changes within our traveler & partner servicing & Salesforce center of excellence community and with our related business partners. For clarity, this is a mix of a technical, software development PM position and a business program management and change management/business operations role.
A business program manager with a history of software development PM OR a technical (software) program manager with a history of change management or business operations would be ideal. This is not a Project Manager role, though project management is an aspect of the Program Manager responsibilities.
What you'll do leading critical prod tech initiative programs (50-95%):
Drive Engineering Programs with related Projects from kick-off to delivery
Work with Senior Leaders across the org to tracks project schedule by obtaining input from engineering teams
Keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress toward or changes to task timing that impacts the project schedule
Lead Agile Release Planning sessions where multiple Product Managers and Development teams come together to plan their sprints while mapping out dependencies
Create and manage Scrum ceremonies for 2 or more delivery teams (managing across time zones) and aid our product management teams in maintaining a quality backlog by assisting with refinement and planning sessions (or drive backlog yourself for LoDo or Continuous Improvement for a particular space)
Maintains program/project documentation and corresponding meetings as needed
Articulates and tracks issues and mitigation plans for risk management and trade-off decis
