We are seeking a qualified Project Management Analyst (Facility Support) position to work at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC.

Position Description:
The Project Management Analyst is a key role supporting the Navy Program Office, Surface Ship Training. In this position, you will assist in managing a contractor workforce of approximately 100 personnel. The Surface Training Systems Program Office is responsible for strategic program planning, policy development, research and development, acquisition, technical insertion, and life-cycle management of surface training systems. Its mission is to deliver aligned, consistent, and effective training solutions that ensure U.S. Navy Sailors are fully educated and mission-ready.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the planning, management, and execution of modernization efforts for Navy classrooms and laboratories.
- Provide direct support to NAVSEA requiring expertise in facility design and the ability to collaborate effectively with Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms, and trade engineers.
- Develop preliminary classroom and laboratory layouts and designs using design tools such as Visio or Bluebeam.
- Enter and operate safely within industrial environments during facility renovation projects.
- Apply knowledge of OSHA standards and safety procedures for working in industrial and construction areas.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or a minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience in place of a degree
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience (15 years if a degree is not held)
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Bluebeam software
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or construction-related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in construction project management
- Familiarity with Military Construction (MILCON) processes
- Experience with PMS 339 or a similar U.S. Navy program office is highly desirable
Travel Requirements:
- Limited travel to the continental United States (primarily east and west coasts)
- Limited / Occasional overseas travel
The government work location is the Washington Navy Yard, and the government is providing workspace for 75% of the contractors. The PM will need to be available at the Navy Yard per customer direction and to manage the staff. The contractor workforce will also be located in and around the Washington, DC area, and the PM will need to manage the workforce. Some telework may be possible with the customers’ approval.
