The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Disruptive Computing & Networking (DC&N) software capability is seeking a Senior Release Train Engineer in El Segundo, CA or Huntington Beach, CA.

The position will involve creating software for world class, next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate is a leader of the Agile Release Train (ART), and provides direction to multi-disciplinary teams that plan, commit, develop, and deploy software and software-driven products together to deliver value to the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) organization.


The software product team is focused on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of a future system. We are looking for people who like to try new things and aren’t afraid of a challenge!

Position Responsibilities: 
•    Oversee the management of multiple Scrum Teams
•    Facilitate scaled agile processes for engineering teams, including training Scrum Masters in planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, and product demos
•    Foster communication and collaboration between Agile teams within the Agile Release Train (ART) and stakeholders
•    Coach team members and stakeholders in SAFe and Agile practices
•    Share the train's outcome goals and ensure transparency about delivery, risks, and accomplishments
•    Remove or escalate impediments to flow and promote a culture of continuous improvement
•    Assist in the development and maintenance of PI Roadmaps and Program Vision
•    Assist and train technical leads in developing and refining the Solution Level (Initiative/Capability) backlog
•    Hold Solution Level workshops to assist leaders in populating the backlog for PI Planning
•    Produce and explain both Agile and program specific metrics
•    Establish and maintain queries, tools, and other process to monitor and pivot during PI Planning, and PI execution

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 

•    This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
•    5+ years' experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
