LBYR DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, a division of Hachette Book Group, seeks a Digital Marketing Assistant to join our collaborative and enthusiastic Integrated Marketing team. This role reports to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager.The candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset to their work. They should be highly organized and attentive to detail, have a knowledge of and interest in the media industry, and be able to work independently as well as collaborativelyThis is a NYC based role. HBG's current hybrid model is 3 days in-office, 2 days working from home. Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Digital Marketing Manager
- Contribute to and grow @LittleBrownYoungReaders and @theNOVL across social media platforms, engaging with and responding directly to readers and authors
- Execute title-specific digital and social media marketing campaigns across picture book, middle grade, and young adult categories
- Develop and curate branded digital assets and content, including videos, product photos, graphics, blog posts, quizzes, e-newsletters, and memes
- Update the division’s websites: LBYR.com, theNOVL.com, LBArtistAward.com, Kids.JamesPatterson.com, and brand sites
- Strategize and run paid social media advertising campaigns with A/B testing and budget optimization
- Maintain direct-to-consumer sales via Shopify, including Meta and TikTok Shops
- Track, evaluate, and share social media and advertising campaign analytics
- Partner with other teams and departments, including Creative Services, Publicity, School & Library, Editorial, Marketing Strategy, and Sales
- Organize, prepare materials for, and actively participate in meetings
- Handle general administrative responsibilities for manager and team
- Interest in book publishing, with a particular enthusiasm for children’s and young adult books
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), video editing (Premiere), digital photography, WordPress, and Squarespace
- Additional experience beneficial with Google Analytics, Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, Emplifi and Meltwater, Facebook Business Manager, Shopify, HTML, and CSS
- Excellent written, verbal, and social communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-observant, and collaborative environment
- Proactive problem solver who is creative, positive, goal-driven, and detail-oriented
