Job Description
Primary Responsibilities: As a general matter, the Asset Management Associate will be responsible for supporting the management of our portfolio of properties and will work closely with the Asset Management team and other internal departments across the company to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the rental properties and to maximize the financial performance of the portfolio. The asset management associate is responsible for initiating, organizing, supervising, and managing the onboarding and stabilization of BTR projects as well as properties acquired onto the platform via other channels such as 1x1/MLS or bulk/portfolio acquisitions. Separately, the Asset Management Associate will be responsible for identifying other areas for improvement and developing and executing plans to address those areas identified.
Skills & Competencies:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, real estate, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications preferable
3-5 years of experience in asset management, real estate management, or property management.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to produce high-quality work in a deadline-oriented environment and an ability to multi-task.
High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills; adept at working across organizations to effectuate change.
Experience working in a work schedule environment, weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends and develop recommendations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with property management software, such as Yardi or AppFolio, is a plus.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
