Assistant Executive Steward
Who We Look For:
We are looking for an individual who can provide leadership support in our Stewarding department across the Resort. Management experience preferred. The Assistant Executive Steward assist in overseeing all facets of the Stewarding Department. They ensure proper usage and preventative maintenance of all machinery and equipment used in the Stewarding Department. The Assistant Executive Steward must also set-up and maintain inventory of supplies, plan, and budget the purchasing of china, glassware, and silverware for the entire F&B division. In addition, they coordinate, hires, trains, disciplines, and supervises the Stewarding staff.
Responsibilities:
Incumbents should have a strong understanding of night cleaning style work as well as operations. The basic functions of this positions are to assist staff in cleaning and sanitize all ovens, steam kettles, mixers and other kitchen equipment as well as all kitchen drains, sinks, floors, and walls; clean, dust, sweep, mop, polish, scrub, wash, strip, and buff kitchen and pastry shop production areas and hallways.
Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using the correct cleaning and rinsing solutions and process.
Reporting any damaged or excessively worn pieces for repair. Safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials including soaking solution utilizing the correct protective clothing.
Knowledge of the State of Florida Health code standard.
Planning and organizing their week work assignments, tracking any day-to-day opportunities, make recommendations regarding training, performance evaluations, and discipline for stewards.
Minimum Qualifications:
2-3 years of stewarding leadership experience, preferably in fine dining and banquets, within a hotel/resort
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with a large and dynamic team
Bi-lingual who is proficient in Spanish preferred
