What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and posted activity while maintaining authorized armed presence in accordance with site policies, post orders, and applicable regulations.
• Prepare clear reports on incidents, patrol activity, visitor interactions, and/or policy violations, and assist with follow-up actions related to security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
