Job Summary
The Process Engineer will be responsible for the design, definition, and quotation of technical solutions for low to medium-complexity projects. You will be expected to understand the customer's needs and requirements and translate this into a complete Tetra Pak engineer solution, focusing on building a long-term relationship between Tetra Pak and our customers. You will collaborate with the project managers, controlling costs and schedules for process engineering tasks and project deliverables. You may be required to participate in customer site activities such as installation, start-up, performance validation and provide related technical documentation.
This professional will be based in Tokyo and will be expected to travel up to 40% of their time.
What you will do
As a Process Engineer, you will:

Lead and execute investment project quotation processes;

Develop and implement technical solutions;

Collaborate in the development and review of reusable solutions;

Develop mass balance calculations and equipment production time planning;

Create and develop flow diagrams (P&ID) and layouts in the food industry;

Perform piping calculations and process component selection for the food industry (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc.);

Lead technical design reviews for projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams;

Provide technical problem support and complaint resolution, including root cause analysis following the Problem Solving Methodology (PSM) process;

Conduct technical discussions with customer or end suppliers;

Act as a facilitator between counterparts or other competencies;
We believe you have
- Bachelor's degree in food, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering;
- Experience and knowledge in liquid and semi-liquid production technologies;
- At least 3 years of work experience in Project Engineering, project implementation and technical project management;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and Microsoft Project;
- Communicable in English (essential);
- Availability to travel up to 40% of the time;
- Strong communication, planning and leadership skills, able to consistently solve problems.
