Location: Must live a commutable distance to PepsiCo's Washington DC office - located at 801 Pennsylvania Ave.

 

Role is hybrid. New hire should expect to be in office 3-4 days per week.

Job Overview

Situated within the Corporate Affairs function, you will play a critical role in driving PepsiCo’s government relations agenda across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Specifically, you will help support PepsiCo’s license to operate across key markets, drive strategic stakeholder engagement – directly and across key events, promote supply chain resiliency, and support our geopolitical analysis and advisory work. You will report to the Vice President, Global Government Relations, and be based in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Advance PepsiCo’s reputation by representing PepsiCo with U.S.-based diplomatic corps, foreign dignitaries, globally-focused U.S. government officials, think tanks and DC-based membership organizations.
  • Identify legislative, regulatory and political threats or opportunities for markets across our global business and help devise and execute corresponding advocacy strategies.
  • Proactively forge new coalitions and relationships that help enable PepsiCo to thrive in the global marketplace.
  • Support trade analysis and advocacy, limiting supply chain disruption and advancing trade promotion goals.
  • Monitor and interpret the political, economic and regulatory landscape for developments that impact PepsiCo’s international operations, and provide intelligence and recommendations that inform and influence business decision making.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative and team-oriented environment, is action-oriented, enjoys analyzing and tracking global trends, can identify creative solutions to complicated challenges, delivers impactful work under short deadlines and is able to successfully represent PepsiCo in senior-level meetings with important external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably Master’s degree, in a related field (e.g., government, public policy, communications)
  • 8+ years of experience in an applicable professional capacity, to include minimum of 3+ years working for the U.S. Government or in a government-facing role
  • Extensive experience with U.S. Government institutions and key DC-based stakeholders (e.g., U.S. Government, Foreign Embassies, Councils, think tanks)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadline with limited supervision
  • Ability to partner with all levels of an organization in support of defined objectives
  • Highly proactive,
