Summary
This role applies to the senior most Supply Chain role in International locations where there are no manufacturing operations. This role directs the policies, strategies, activities, and staff of a global supply chain. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, the position leads supply chain operations across Brazil and Argentina, requiring close collaboration with local, regional, and international stakeholders. The successful candidate must be fluent in English and Portuguese, with Spanish proficiency strongly preferred to effectively support customers, business partners, and teams in Argentina and across Latin America.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains strategic relationships with domestic and international partners. Participates in development of purchasing and logistics strategies in line with business requirements.
- Defines strategies for sourcing, buying, expediting, planning, warehousing, and distribution. Implements collaborative forecasting and planning initiatives.
- Leads the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, working closely with supply and demand teams to develop integrated sales, inventory, production, customer service, and financial plans.
- Works cross-functionally with planning, purchasing, sales, marketing, finance, and other key stakeholders to create and execute supply plans that meet service and financial objectives.
- Oversees end-to-end supply chain operations including warehousing, distribution, transportation, logistics, customer service, and inventory management across the region.
- Provides leadership and oversight of inventory planning and control processes, ensuring optimal inventory levels, minimizing obsolescence and carrying costs, improving inventory accuracy, and supporting customer service and financial objectives across markets.
- Partners closely with Sales and Commercial teams to support business growth through operational excellence, cost optimization, and customer-focused supply chain solutions.
- Develops and executes operational strategies aligned with business objectives while translating strategic priorities into actionable plans and measurable results.
- Leads, coaches, and develops a high-performing supply chain team, fostering employee engagement, accountability, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Directs staffing, talent development, succession planning, and performance management programs for supply chain personnel.
- Influences and collaborates with stakeholders across local, regional, and international teams to drive alignment, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supports and manages supply chain operations across multiple countries within Latin America, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness
Typical Education
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
Relevant Experience
- 10+ years of progressive Supply Chain leadership experience.
- Experience leading regional supply chain operations including warehousing, distribution, transportation, logistics, customer service, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing teams, including managing managers and direct reports.
- Experience supporting multi-country operations across Latin America preferred.
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements, process optimization, and business performance in complex supply chain environments.
- Experience partnering closely with commercial and sales organizations to deliver customer-focused solutions and business growth.
- Background in FMCG, food manufacturing, agriculture, or related industries preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Based in São Paulo, Brazil.
- Fully bilingual in English and Portuguese, with the ability to effectively communicate across local, regional, and international teams.<
