The Customer Support Field Engineer at Revvity provides expert service and support for diagnostic instruments, focusing on installation, maintenance, and repair, especially in newborn screening laboratories. The role requires approximately 80% travel within California, primarily in Southern California, with occasional trips to the Bay Area, to ensure optimal instrument performance, meet maintenance schedules, and drive high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of Revitty instruments, aiming for zero service recalls. Provide preventive maintenance and warranty services to contract and non-contract customers.
  • Business Development: Drive sales of value-added services such as service contracts, upgrades, and laboratory products. Support local sales teams to secure new instrument orders and contribute to company profitability.
  • Information/Asset Management: Maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and ensure proper handling of company assets like tools and vehicles.
  • Continuous Skill Development: Participate in ongoing technical and professional development to enhance customer service and maintain certifications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular walking, standing, and use of hands for handling tools and equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely for travel within the assigned territory.

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • Associate's degree with some experience in instrument maintenance.  
  • Valid driver’s license and knowledge of laboratory safety practices.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Electronics, Mechanics,
